BENSON + FORSYTH

Now working from their studio in Islington, London, Gordon Benson and Alan Forsyth originally set up their practice in Scotland in 1978. Gordon Benson says his challenge in designing The Nova Building was to mediate between the classically proportioned façades of Thomas Cubitt’s Belgravia, and the larger more modern office developments of the area. The resulting design successfully bridges the architecture of nineteenth-century London and today’s contemporary cityscape.
